Project Information
This unique reconstruction project of a historical space (82 m²) is located at one of the most prestigious addresses in the Czech Republic – directly on Hradčany Square in Prague 1. The assignment was to transform an apartment in a 17th-century Baroque house into a modern and inspiring background for a graphic studio. To meet the needs of the creative team, we proceeded with a total cleanup of the layout. All non-load-bearing partitions were demolished. A key and technically most challenging intervention was the static reinforcement of the central load-bearing wall, which allowed for a generous connection of the space. This created an airy "open space" atelier that breathes history but functions modernly. The realization also includes newly designed technical facilities (kitchenette, toilet), sensitively inserted into the historical floor plan. The office interior relies on contrast – original historical elements and thick walls are complemented by minimalist office furniture, quality lighting, and clean lines that do not distract from creative work.
