CONCEPT AND ARCHITECTURE
The design of this single-story family house (bungalow) is defined by an emphasis on horizontal lines and maximum connection of the interior with the surrounding garden. The dominant element is a cantilevered roof plane, which not only effectively shades the large-format glass surfaces but also creates covered terraces for a smooth transition outdoors. The facade combines dark large-format panels with clean frameless glazing, giving the building a modern, almost sculptural expression.
GARDEN AND WATER FEATURES
The central motif is a composition of water features – an infinity pool transitioning to a lower level in the form of a water cascade, bringing both dynamism and the soothing sound of water to the space. Paved surfaces of exposed concrete levitate over the water surface, connecting the house with the relaxation zone.
The social part of the house is fully oriented toward the garden through full-wall glazing. The night part is situated in quieter zones for privacy. Materials: exposed concrete, natural wood, and neutral textiles.
Low-energy standard. Heating and cooling: Air-to-water heat pump. Ventilation: Controlled ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). Envelope: High-quality insulation and triple glazing with solar protection.
