CONCEPT AND ARCHITECTURE
The design of RD S19 represents a modern interpretation of single-story living, where the main role is played by a clean horizontal line and an absolute connection with the terrain. The design is defined by a subtle, deeply cantilevered roof that visually levitates above the glass volume of the building. The facade combines raw exposed concrete with a wooden ceiling, which brings warmth to the geometry and transitions seamlessly into the interior.
GARDEN AND WATER FEATURES
A unique element of the project is the cascading reflective pool, which forms the heart of the outdoor parterre. Water falling over concrete edges brings dynamism and a soothing sound to the space. The concrete terraces are designed as "floating islands" above the water surface, creating unique platforms for relaxation and social life.
The 150 m² house is zoned into an open social part and a quiet night zone. Frameless glazing across the entire height of the floor ensures maximum supply of daylight and constant visual contact with the surrounding greenery.
Low-energy standard. Heating: Air-to-water heat pump connected to underfloor heating. Ventilation: Controlled system with heat recovery (MVHR) for a healthy indoor climate.
